About Gin Dunscombe
Informal, professional, non-judgmental, developmental, unexpected
One of the first qualified coaches in the UK, I provide professional and personal development coaching for people at all levels and at all stages of their life journeys. I offer a unique combination of skills, knowledge and experience gained from three decades as a coach, mentor and facilitator of individuals and teams in a wide spectrum of organisations, and from several parallel careers and a generous helping of high quality learning, training and development. I bring an endless curiosity and a host of tools and techniques to the issue of each person maximising their potential and performing effectively, both at work and in the context of their wider lives.
Experience includes 15 years as coach, mentor and Action Learning Facilitator for all directors and managers at UNICEF UK. As Head of the Lewisham Culture & Urban Development Commission, a Creative City initiative, I worked on a comprehensive range of issues of organisational and individual change, including managing major cultural change for a merger of 14 businesses.
My varied career spans ten years as a carpenter in the building industry and development work with high performance teams. I have designed and delivered an extensive set of workshops and trainings, from effective priority management to cultural diversity. I co-devised and tutored on the first UK University/Local Authority Post Graduate Management Programmes. I have facilitated organisational interventions through Action Learning Sets and Team Development workshops and events, Open Space and Future Search.
More recently, I have been increasingly working around issues of resilience, tension, stress and trauma.
Gin Dunscombe Artist
As an adult, I was perplexed by and ignorant of visual art. This led me on a wonderful eleven year journey of discovery - from an introductory course to completing my MA Fine Art at Camberwell and Chelsea Colleges of Art.
